Saving Money the Easy Way

With 2009 on its way out and 2010 around the corner, many of us will decide it's time to tighten our belts. With the economy tanking and many people losing their jobs it is important to find ways to save money.

One way to shave some money off of your electric bill is to unplug things that are not in use. For example if you are not using your microwave then unplug it. If you're not kicked back watching an episode of Golden Girls (oh come on you know you watch it) then unplug your set. A lot of thing use electricity even when they are not "turned on".

Another way to save money without really trying is to save your change. Every night when you get home empty your pockets and set aside your spare change. Put your change in an empty jar and take it to the bank once a month. You'll be surprised at how much you save. Make sure you deposit this into your savings account. It's a great way to save up some cash for the unexpected expenses that pop up.

Cut down on eating out by just one time a week. Another easy way to save some money is to limit the times you eat out a week. Even if you just cut down by one time a week you can easily save $50 or more a month.

Frugal Living Tip of the Day!

Hope that you all are doing well out there today. Well it's about a 4 week countdown until I get to bring my puppy home and I can't wait. He's a pudgy little guy, so roly-poly and cute :) I'm still trying to figure out a name for him.

Here's my frugal living tip for the day. Instead of buying your lunch everyday at work. Pack a lunch, try bringing some leftovers or other food you already have a home. This should save you at least a few bucks a day and a few bucks will add up quickly.

Hope everyone is doing well. It's been a super busy this week. I've been working non-stop and writing articles for Ehow. My car is on its last legs or should I say its last wheel. I'm been shopping around. I'm not exactly sure what kind of car I'll get. I'm mostly looking at a mid-size sedan. So if you all want to recommend a type feel free to post.

I went to go see my puppy yesterday and he was so cute!! He's a golden retriever puppy and he's just the most precious doggie ever. I'm be taking him home soon and I absolutely can't wait! It's a beautiful Saturday morning here in good old Delaware. I know sounds exciting, eh? I'm plan to spend the day going to visit my Golden Retriever puppy. He's a beautiful, sweet soul and I can't wait to bring him home.

For those of you who are wondering how the Ehow venture is going, I'm a bout to 24 articles. I never thought I'd be so happy to earn 8 cents LOL, but still it's an exciting prospect. Hello Everyone,

Hope this Wednesday night is finding you doing well. I'm spending a rainy night watching reruns of the Real Housewives of New Jersey on Bravo. Why am I watching this hot mess? I don't know I guess I couldn't find a better way to waste a Wednesday night. It follows 5 'housewives' who are working hard and taking care of their families. I guess working hard means gold diggers looking for their next meal ticket or giving bad auditions of a poor man's Carmela Soprano.

As if these New Jersey Nitwits weren't enough to turn my stomach. I spent the better part of the day writing a complaint letter about the local chicken joint. I don't really ask for much when I head off for the local fast food joint. No cartwheels or calling me "Your Majesty".. Put the food in a bag, charge me the right amount and I'll happily leave you be.

I should have known not to return there since last time I went there they were screaming at the customers to "Get out and go to Popeye's, it's right down the road." But stupid me was craving some extra crispy. I'm getting ready to walk in and all hell is ready to break loose because some lady was claiming she was missing a biscuit. After 20 minutes, the woman left angrily because they refused to give her a replacement biscuit. Two people confirmed this "missing biscuit" but the girl behind the counter was claiming it was a scam. I should have just offered to buy the woman a biscuit to move this along, but I kept flashing back to the last time I was there when the supervisors were screaming at the customers and the employees alike and telling people to get out and go to Popeye's.

The guy ahead of me was now claiming his order was wrong. He had 2 biscuits and no mashed potatoes. Hmm...I guess we know where the woman's biscuit went. At this point I'm waiting about 30 minutes, despite only having 2 people in line ahead of me when I came in. The girl behind the counter gives the guy another biscuit and says she's sorry. Umm I wasn't even really paying attention but even I could comprehend the guy didn't need anymore biscuits. The guy walks out in disgust. The counter girl screams, "Scam Artist!!" I place my order and the girl says it'll be a little while. We're waiting on the biscuits because we're out. I wanted to say..."Well you got 3 right there in that bag that's nobody wants.." but I didn't want her to think I was part of the scam. Of course by the time I got my food everything was cold or missing...well except for the biscuits, they were just right :)

Kickin' Old School with the Golden Girls

Well some vacation, I ended up twisting my ankle. So I'm hanging out in bed watching a Golden Girls marathon. I don't care what anybody says I love this show. Right now the episode where Blanche is planning a murder mystery weekend for her co-workers is on. The part where Dorothy grabs Sophia from behind to re-enact the crime and Sophia shouts, "Not part of the show people, not part of the show" cracks me up. Child of the 80's that I am still loves this show. It reminds me of the days when I was a kid and would hang out with grandma. We would watch this show every Saturday night and laugh our heads off. Back then I didn't really get some of the jokes but I just loved spending time with my Mom-mom so I didn't care what we watched. Now since she's gone, I'll put on the Golden Girls and remember our good times. "Thank you For Being a Friend..." I love you Mom-Mom.

Just Another Manic Monday

Hello Everyone,

Thankfully I'm bringing in this Monday morning on vacation. I need a rest and I plan on getting just that. There's nothing like laying in bed watching bad episodes of Full House. Good God I can't stand Michelle. Is it just me or does she run the Tanner House with an Iron Fist. I have never seen a toddler who runs roughshod over some many adults in my life. Nobody makes a move in Casa de Tanner without Michelle's ok. OK enough of my Olsen Twin rant.
